Using our libraries

All you need to know about using the libraries on our campuses

Alumni access to campus libraries

Access to the library can be arranged for Alumni of the University of Law on request.

Facilities available to Alumni are as follows:

  • Guest wifi access (please arrange this when booking your visit)
  • Hard copy books and journals - for reference use only
  • Use of study space with or without PC

Access to the University’s online resources and printing facilities is restricted to current University of Law students and staff only.  Library staff can advise on appropriate free online resources if required - see also our curated lists of Open Access Resources below.

Prospective students and recent graduates

Access to our libraries is for current students and alumni only.

Access to our online collections begins 30 days before the start of your course. When you have completed your course, you will have access for a further 60 days. Please see below for Open Access Resources that you can use when you no longer have access to ULaw's online collections.

Access to our physical libraries for prospective students is only available from after your induction and you have received your student ID card.

Access to our physical libraries for recent graduates ends after your final exam or assessment, you will need to apply to our alumni scheme for reference only access.
